Greg Jennings: Week 7 Fantasy Outlook

Greg Jennings: Recapping Jennings’ Week 6 Fantasy Performance

After an explosive Week 5 in London against the Steelers, Jennings will look for a rebound outing Monday night against a Giants secondary ripe for the picking. Jennings value will be tied to the likely announcement of Josh Freeman as the new starting quarterback. Should Freeman get the nod, Jennings value immediately shoots up into WR4 territory with upside. With the game coming Monday night however, it may be best to take a wait and see approach with the former Packer.

Being over in Green Bay, you’re brainwashed to think anyone in the division is tiers below.” “It’s like everything that you know in Green Bay is like the best, the best, the best, the best, the best,” Jennings continued. “And it’s like total brainwashing. And I think Greg Jennings you don’t open your eyes to see what other teams have to offer unless you are in that position, and I was afforded this position.” Jennings, who played seven seasons in Green Bay before signing with the Vikings in the offseason, had criticized the leadership skills of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers last month. That prompted Frazier to talk to Jennings about his comments. However, Jennings did have some good things to say about the Packers later in the KFAN interview when asked about the difference between training camp with the Packers and Vikings.

Vikings snatch Greg Jennings from division-rival Packers

(OLD TEAM: Cleveland Browns.) Charles LeClaire, USA TODAY Sports 28. Jared Cook, TE. SIGNED: St. Louis Rams, five years, $35M. (Old team: Tennessee Titans.) Don McPeak, USA TODAY Sports 27. Reggie Bush, RB. SIGNED: Detroit Lions, four years, $16.25M.

That sounds like an incredibly unpleasant thing to deal with; I don’t envy your predicament, man. (Well, this particular part of your predicament, anyway. The whole “$24 million to play NBA basketball for the next three years” thing seems pretty enviable.) I hope it resolves itself as quickly, smoothly and, above all else, painlessly as possible. That said, while it would certainly be beneficial to have Jennings in the fold and full-go for the entirety of the Pistons’ preseason work, especially given all the new additions and moving parts with arguably the league’s most intriguing team new head coach Maurice Cheeks, new near-All-Star forward Josh Smith, returning hero guard Chauncey Billups , former Italian League MVP Luigi Datome, plus a trio of rookies (shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, spring-loaded forward Tony Mitchell and point guard Peyton Siva ) and the immortal Josh Harrellson you wouldn’t think a three-week timeline that costs Jennings only a few regular-season games would be too harmful for Detroit. This follow-up tweet, though, makes the situation sound a bit worse: Treatment for Jennings includes immobilization for three weeks. Timeframe has him out at least the first 4 reg. season games. Vincent Ellis (@Vincent_Ellis56) October 15, 2013 There’s a pretty big difference between not being able to play for three weeks and not being able to really move your jaw/mouth/head for three weeks. Given that treatment plan, you’d imagine it’s going to be difficult for Jennings to do very much in the way of conditioning or even studying work while he’s laid up, which could mean that even if he’s able to return five games into the regular season, it might be a bit longer before he’s able to capably play the sort of major-minutes, ball-dominant playmaking role he’s expected to have with the revamped Pistons.

Jennings’ newest Rodgers comments just make things worse

Hesaw a season-high 10 targets. Jennings was unable to break any big plays, and at one point he had an astonishing six yards on four catches. Things are going south quickly for the Vikings, and the Josh Freeman era appears to be on the horizon. Jennings’ value will be directly tied to the team’s third quarterback of the young season.

Greg Jennings: I was ‘brainwashed’

Theyre very talented and they just need the opportunity. The skys the limit for those guys. The only thing that can happen is they can have a bright future. I dont think anything worse can come out of it. Driver has a unique perspective on Jennings departure from the Packers, which has turned somewhat contentious recently after the newly signed Vikings receiver criticized Aaron Rodgers leadership skills and last week told a radio station that Packers players were brainwashed to believe everything in Green Bay is like the best, the best, the best, the best, the best. Greg wanted to stay in Green Bay. It gets to a point where a team wants to move on with different players. It becomes a business decision.

I don’t want to be a distraction to this team. That’s the one thing I don’t want to do.” It might be a bit too late for that. If Jennings had made that his message to the media on Thursday from the start, he might have put the issue behind him and his new team for good. But that opportunity was lost. Earlier Thursday, before Jennings made his latest comments, Frazier was asked by SI.com why he asked his veteran receiver to refrain from his criticism of Rodgers. “It’s just the right thing to do,” Frazier said.
